The first 4 seniors to apply during College Application Week

Attention all 3rd-8th grade and 10th grade parents: Your children will be taking the ACT Aspire on April 11th-13th. Please be sure your child is here, on time for these test dates. Late admittance is not accepted.

Attention 10th Grade Parents: Jefferson State Community College will have the Accuplacer test available for any 10th grade student who is seeking to be placed in Duel Enrollment for their Junior and Senior years. They MUST take and PASS this test in order to qualify. Test dates are April 7th and 21st. There will be a representative here on campus April 4th in order to register assist students with registration paperwork for Duel Enrollment. See Mrs Shaw for any further details.

Attention all 8th-11th grade parents: If you missed out on the Fall Countdown to College Fair, Jefferson State will be hosting another event on April 11th at 6 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Clanton Campus. See Mrs. Shaw for any further details.

A second copy of their Kuder Navigator 4 year plan went home Friday. These need to be signed by yourself and your child and brought back to the counselor within the next week. Thank you!

·      If you already attend Jefferson State as a Duel Enrollment student, you will need to request your transcript from them as well as MHS for colleges. Even if you are going to Jeff State, you will still have to do this. Think of it as, you are getting both college and high school credit and therefore you would need transcripts from both places (Jeff State and MHS) in order to prove that you are a dual enrollment student and have gained college credits.

·      If you are an athlete, seeking scholarships, you must put a profile of you on the NCAA Clearinghouse. The correct website is See me for your transcript. I can email it to you for you to upload. This will be a requirement for scholarships.

Other ACT Opportunities this year:

June 10th- May 5th, last day to register without late fee.

·      If you need a transcript/ACT scores, please fill out an Orange Transcript Request form, and Mrs Shaw will send them to the destination marked.
