Upon graduating from Maplesville High School in 1992, Mrs. Carter attended college to pursue a teaching degree so she could have a job that would keep her close to home.  After receiving her undergraduate diploma in secondary English and Spanish education from Troy University, she was blessed to become employed by the Chilton County School System and has taught for the district since 1997.  In May of 2001 she received her master's degree in Education from the University of Montevallo. In 2008 she broadened her career path by joining the ACCESS Distance Learning community and began teaching Spanish classes online.  

Mrs. Carter resides in Stanton with her husband Casey and two children, Garrett and Dalton.
